I have particular passion for couples therapy & sex therapy. I am excited to support you in building your most fulfilling and aligned life.
Why I Do This Work:
My path to becoming a therapist grew from my passion for sex education and my belief that sexual wellbeing is just as important as mental, emotional, and physical health. As a young person, my life was changed when I participated in an extracurricular, comprehensive sex-ed class and learned about sexuality in an expansive, healthy, open way. That experience allowed me to explore and accept my own sexual and gender identities, and it inspired me to create similar spaces where others can safely question, learn, and connect with their inner worlds.
That commitment deepened when I began running an online forum for LGBTQ+ youth and young adults. As a certified sex educator, I initially answered questions about sexual health, but the space quickly became something more. People began sharing about relationship struggles, family rejection, trauma, and mental health challenges. Being trusted with those stories, and witnessing both the pain and resilience of others shaped my understanding of how deeply interconnected our identities, relationships, and wellbeing are.
I also recognize that I would not be where I am today without the care, support, and guidance of others. My own experiences of being supported, challenged, and understood have deeply shaped how I view healing: as something that happens in relationship, not in isolation. This awareness grounds me in humility and gratitude, and continues to guide how I show up in this work.
As a neurodivergent person, I bring a lived understanding of what it can feel like to navigate a world that is not always designed with you in mind. My experiences have shaped how I understand difference, adaptation, and the many ways people learn to move through their environments. They have also deepened my appreciation for the importance of self-compassion, flexibility, and finding ways of being that feel authentic rather than prescribed.
I believe in the inherent worth and dignity of all human beings and that we all deserve to live in a world that is just and compassionate. One of my core beliefs is that connection and healthy relationships are fundamental to living a fulfilling life. Knowing we are not isolated in our pain can be profoundly healing. Even in the face of life’s challenges, I believe that all people hold an innate capacity for growth and healing when they are met with care, support, and understanding.
I am currently completing my Master’s degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy with a focus on sex therapy at Lewis & Clark College
How I Do This Work:
My approach to therapy is deeply relational and collaborative, and grounded in curiosity, honesty, and humor. I want to know about everything that makes you who you are, and support you in your path to a more fulfilling, grounded life. You are the expert in your own life, and I will meet you wherever you’re at in your journey.
I am naturally curious about how people think, feel, relate, and make sense of the world. The questions I ask are shaped by what I hear and observe in the moment, while also requiring ongoing self-awareness of my own assumptions, biases, and worldview. I strive to approach each session with openness and flexibility, recognizing that therapy is a dynamic and co-created process.
I also value transparency and ongoing dialogue in the therapeutic relationship. I welcome feedback about what is or isn’t working, and I see that feedback as an essential part of building a therapy space that truly supports you. My own experiences, both personal and professional, have taught me the importance of staying open, reflective, and willing to adjust. I aim to create a space where honesty feels safe, even when it’s uncomfortable.
I believe that pleasure is an inherent human right, and I support clients in discovering or rediscovering what brings them joy, connection, and zest for life. At the same time, I recognize that we live within systems that can limit access to safety, pleasure, and wellbeing. I approach this work from an anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and nonjudgmental lens, holding space for both personal and systemic realities.
I’m a relational and systemic therapist, which means I’m always thinking about how your relationships and the world around you have shaped who you are. I’m influenced by existential and humanistic approaches, relational-cultural theory, and interpersonal neurobiology and neuroscience, with a focus on both meaning-making and how our brains and bodies respond to connection and stress.
While I center warmth and compassion, I also believe that meaningful change often requires being gently challenged. When it feels supportive, I may invite you to consider new perspectives or step outside of familiar patterns that are no longer serving you. My goal is to balance validation with growth, always within the context of a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship.
I feel honored to do this work and I can’t wait to meet you!
